My eleven year old son is too sensitive to fit into the public school environment, so after years of hearing teacher’s reports of his falling asleep at his desk, zoning out when faced with math, and melting down in the noisy and chaotic cafeteria, we placed him in Bolder Pathway School. There Sean, Michelle and all the teachers adapt to his highly individual needs. He gets the breaks he needs to function well, lessons tailored to his needs and abilities, and most importantly, understanding and compassion for his very real troubles. Bolder Pathway School has been a godsend.

Our experience with the three week session in July of 2012 has demonstrated to us that Bolder Pathway School’s approach of creating a Personal Learning Strategy, low student to teacher ratio, independent progress rates and the ability to use multiple and different learning strategies based on each student is well suited to (our son).  We are confident that within the Bolder Pathway School (our son) will be able to dramatically improve his reading level, become less self-conscious of his “intelligence,” receive information in a manner more suited to his personal learning styles, and be able to advance without restraint in those areas where he shows strength.

My 15-year-old grandson was not having a successful time at Public High School because of issues around grief/loss and ADHD. (The school) did it’s best to accommodate him but the school’s resources and services were limited.  I transferred him to the Bolder Pathway School in February and he is academically flourishing. Now instead of looking forward to years of misery in a public school, my grandson is optimistic and confident that he can be a success because of the educational methodology of Bolder Pathway School.

This school is amazing! Bolder Pathway was a lifesaver for my son, who went from hating school to succeeding both academically and socially. For the first time, he feels like he belongs. This is a school with heart. The leadership and staff truly care about the kids and their families and will do what it takes to help them succeed. They are incredibly flexible and will go the extra mile to coordinate with not only parents, but outside providers as well. They know their stuff too, and are a wealth of knowledge on different strategies and methodologies. I would highly recommend it to anyone with a child who is struggling in their current environment.
